Nove still says her tummy hurts - she's still not eating like she was before she caught this bug. Pretty much wasted the money we spent on her hot dog at SmashBurger for dinner after seeing the therapist. All she really wanted was the fried pickle-o's and the fried onion strings. Ah, fast food. We usually eat better on Tuesday but Katlin didn't want to go with us today and we didn't want to leave her home alone for too long.
I've been drinking lots of fluids but havent had anything solid yet. My fever finially broke.. I found the thermometer in my room after we thought it was out on our desk.. I was running a fever earlier around 100.5 but is now 98.4.
Hannah will most likely be going to school tomorrow.. depends on the snow storm were expecting..

I've never had fried pickles.. i do love pickles though

Jenn was talking to one of her online friends who had a little one sick with this - also doing a lot of throwing up. Guess Nove either had something different or just got lucky, she only threw up a couple of times at her dad's house and a couple of times here at home. She has a doctor's appointment this morning to dicuss the meds she's been taking for anxiety disorder, and Jenn said she'd mention the tummy still hurting to the doctor. It's been 11 days since threw up the first time and she's still not eating very much.

It's hard to find places that serve Pickle-Os. Just slices of dill pickle, dried, dipped in batter and deep fried. Often served with ranch dipping sauce. I love 'em so much I used to make them at home but they're so messy and just too much work. Used to make sweet potato fries too, but again too messy and too much work. Wish we could buy frozen sweet potato fries like you can regular potato fries.

Sorry - talking about fried foods isn't great when you're tummy has been upset.

fried pickles does sound good.. I would probably try just coating them with flour and then deep frying them. It's what I do with fried eggplant..
we can buy sweet potatoe french fries here at walmart and I believe our local supermarket.. They are good

Not having food for 2 days is making me want a cheese steak. or a moes sub. (which is a local shop in NH that bakes their own bread, I usually get a moes original with salami, provolone cheese, sliced green peppers and extra pickles )

Oh yeah, someone else told me that you can get frozen sweet tater fries at Walmart - but I never shop there. Maybe twice a year. Wonder if Target has 'em? Once in a while we shop for groceries there.

Philly cheese steak is something we were making quite often at home last year. We could get the thin steak slices in the freezer case at Kroger or Aldi's, but now I can't find them anymore. Every so often I get a craving for an Italian BMT sub at Subway - salami, pepperoni and ham, provolone, and every veggie they have ... except jalapeno peppers. With vinegar and pepper. Especially when the weather gets warm. I buy a foot long and with chips and drinks it's a cheap meal for all three of us - me and both grandkids.

Yea we used to make those but my husband is from philadelphia so nothing compares to a real cheese steak or hoagie.. the rolls are better too.

Were hopefully going down there in the next year or so to my sil's wedding.

Well, I haven't had "the real thing" from Philadelphia, but I've tried the Philly Cheese Steak at lots of our local places, and the ones we make at home are just as good as those, and much cheaper.

Uh, there was this one fast food place in Hutchinson that had good Philly Cheese Steak Sans, and really good fries too, but they closed - and we moved away from Hutch anyway. And now I'm hungry for a Philly Cheese Steak. There are two sub shops in our town, and a couple of burger places that also have PCS on the menu. Hm - which one should I try.
